Description

Teesta Hydro-Electric Project Stage-VI is a runoff the river scheme, being developed by Lanco Teesta Hydro Power Private Limited (LTHPPL). The location of the project is Subin Khore, South Sikkim. It is the last of the six projects in cascade development to harness the hydro power potential of Teesta river in the state of Sikkim. Teesta VI Hydro Eectric Project was allotted to LTHPPL, formerly known as Lanco Energy Pvt. Ltd. (LEPL) by Government of Sikkim in 2005 for its development on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis. An Implementation Agreement was signed between the Government of Sikkim and LTHPPL on 7th December 2005.

Evacuation Transmission Works Status

Lanco Teesta Hydro Power Pvt. Ltd. (LTHPPL) is executing dedicated Transmission line from Teesta VI Power House to Rangpo Pooling Station, 220 kV D/c line with Twin Moose Conductor of distance 12.44 Km. The route survey of the line has been completed and forest land proposal for the same has been submitted to forest deptt, Govt. of Sikkim. Power from Rangpo pooling station shall be evacuated by PGCIL.

Status of EPC Contract

(As on 31st August 2013)

EPC Contract Awarded in March 2007 to M/S LITL for Civil, Electro-Mechanical and Hydro-Mechanical works of the project. Under the EPC Contract, Civil works are being carried out by LITL and HCC, E&M works by Alstom and HM works by PES.
